Sterling V Data Center (Phase I)

Cardno is the structural engineer for both phases of the Sterling V Data Center project in Loudoun County, VA. The first phase of the project is 650,000 sf and at full build-out will total over a 1 million sf.

The Sterling V Data Center (Alternate Name: Kincora) campus will total over a 1 million sf at full build-out.

Phase I contains approximately 650,000 sf and consists of a two-story data hall with galleries, three-story office building, two-story dock and storage areas, two-story future development over storage areas, electrical equipment yards and chiller platforms above the roof. Additional notable features are an upscale lobby and nine-foot building step due to the sloping site. The shell building is a precast concrete framing system consisting of double tees, beams, columns and panels.

With the need for hyper-speed and hyper-scalable data centers continuing to grow, Sterling V is designed to scale appropriately and quickly to meet increased demand added to its system. Cardno has worked on millions of square feet of data centers and understands the complexities of designing this type of specialized structure.
