Rosewood Terrace

Apartments in construction phase

Cardno provides infrastructure services for the development of an affordable multi-family apartment complex in Clackamas County, Oregon.

The Rosewood Terrace project is an affordable multi-family apartment complex being constructed in unincorporated Clackamas County, Oregon. This project provides needed workforce housing during a housing crisis and helps the county reach its goal of 800-1200 new affordable homes in the next seven years. It also generates funds for the Housing Authority that will be used to work with developers to build new affordable homes.

The Rosewood Terrace project site is just over five acres, with sensitive resource areas just to the west, and to the east and an existing multi-use path connecting the site to a light rail station. This project is partially funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and therefore had to be designed under strict federal standards for both accessibility and stormwater pollution prevention.

The Cardno team provided design services to widen a road to incorporate a left turn lane into the site, dedicated bike lanes, and sidewalk frontage improvements. Design within the development included domestic water, fire suppression supply, sanitary sewer, and stormwater collection with mechanical treatment and underground detention facility. The completion date for Rosewood Terrace is anticipated for September 2020.
