Register for Cardno’s webinar addressing occupational asthma on June 20

On Wednesday June 20 2018, Dr David Galbraith, MD will present a webinar titled Occupational Asthma. During the webinar Dr Galbraith will explore the types and causes of occupational asthma.

Webinar attendees will learn about the influence of sensitizers, treatments for the disease, and the difference between “work-exacerbated” and occupational asthma. Dr Galbraith will also provide a standard diagnostic approach to identifying occupational asthma.


Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions.

According to OSHA, up to 15 percent of disabling asthma cases in the U.S. are associated with occupational factors. In addition, it is estimated that approximately 11 million workers in the U.S., across a wide variety of industries and occupations, are exposed to chemicals or compounds known to be associated with occupational asthma.

Dr David Galbraith is a licensed physician with over 15 years of life sciences consulting experience and 24 years of clinical practice experience. He specializes in understanding and quantifying health risk, with a particular emphasis on human exposures to chemical toxins in a variety of settings.

This webinar is part of the Cardno ChemRisk’s environmental health and safety (EHS) seminar series. The series is designed to explore common and emerging issues encountered by EHS professionals in various industries.
