Peter Tragjasi bringing drawings to life

Since joining the Cardno traffic team in 1995, Peter's attention and diligent approach to detail and design has earned the respect of both his colleagues and clients.

What sets Peter apart is his intricate hand-drawn designs and his work to bring them to life.

Peter started his career with VicGrain in civil, mechanical and structural engineering in 1979 before working with Hassell Architects and Victoria University of Technology, a diverse background that enables a better understanding of structural, civil, traffic and architectural implications involved in a project.

At Cardno, Peter handles design drafting for car parking solutions, commercial vehicle access and manoeuvrability, bus terminals, service stations and control point configuration as well as intersection design. He has experience in loading inspection audits, particularly in shopping centre environments. Most of his work applies to an off-road canvas and effectively involves the use of AutoCAD and Autoturn software.

More recently, Peter is heavily involved with designing vehicle ramp grades, vertical curves and transitions for checking vehicle head and ground clearance requirements. His ability to tackle complex driveway grades and crossfalls to match into adjacent garage levels has been particularly strong.

Peter is first and foremost a specialist practitioner in freehand schematic design and conceptual presentations in the early stages of design and feasibility.

His ability to develop functional layout options for on-grade and multi-level car parking, and large-scale loading facilities helps facilitate a clear indication of our design team's vision and capability.

A conscientious, incisive member of our traffic team, Peter believes the most stimulating aspect of his job is successfully combining man-made structures with the environment in a sensitive and practical way, an ethos that is helping to keep Cardno at the forefront of sustainable design solutions.

At Cardno, we are proud to invest in our people. Through creativity and a thorough understanding of design, Peter is creating sustainable and valuable outcomes for our clients across the country.
