International Women in Engineering Day 2019

International Women in Engineering Day 2019 logo

Cardno is proud to support the International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) on Sunday 23 June and this year’s theme is #TransformTheFuture.

In the lead up to #INWED 2019, we’re celebrating the contributions that our female engineers make to our business.

INWED raises the profile of women in engineering which has a positive impact towards gender balance and shines a light on all the opportunities available to women in the engineering profession. It also gives us an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our female engineers across the globe.

“My engineering career has been interesting and rewarding. I’ve worked on a range of projects, and one of the best was an acid mine in the Sierra Nevada Mountains at 6500 feet in trying conditions.”

“I worked as a participation ambassador at university. I think seeing more companies targeting STEM to young people will see an increase in enrolments, creating a larger talent pool of engineers.”
