Hospital donation: Cardno PNG team help children’s ward
Cardno is giving back to the community with a donation of 18 office drawers to the children’s wards of the Port Moresby General Hospital (PMGH) in Papua New Guinea.
Members of Cardno PNG’s Charity Drive Committee made the donation of brightly coloured drawers last week.
The committee has a strong focus on raising funds for PMGH children’s wards, one of the busiest Pediatric Departments in PNG. After making the donation in person, the committee toured the Children’s Wards and met Sr. Saira Mohka, the Ward Unit Manager.
Sr. Saira expressed their great need for further items, specifically bedside stools and plastic curtains, which the committee will consider for future donations.
Since its inception in 2015, the committee is made up entirely of volunteers from Cardno’s Port Moresby office and has raised funds through raffles and other charitable initiatives.
Cardno has more than 45 years’ experience providing a range of social and physical infrastructure services throughout PNG. For more information about our presence in the country, please contact Ryan Agnew, Country Manager for PNG.
