Environmental strategy expert, Karen Beattie, joins Cardno's Portland, OR office
Karen has more than 40 years of experience in environmental management programs, permitting, and project management on significant projects across the Pacific Northwest.
Karen has performed extensive engagement with key stakeholders, including federal, state, and local permitting officials and regulators in the Pacific Northwest.
She has managed and overseen teams writing some of the most complex environmental impact statements in the Pacific Northwest, including Alaska.
Karen holds a Masters in Political Economy from the University of Texas - Dallas and is a member of several professional organizations, including active involvement with Women in Environment, an organization dedicated to furthering professional development and opportunities for women in environmental fields.
“Karen has a range of operational experience on environmental projects in a number of sectors including government at all levels, utilities, and ports and harbors,” said Cardno Vice President, Natural Resources Lude De Hayr. “She will help align everything our team can do in the Pacific Northwest with what our clients need on their significant projects and investments.”
