Civil design and traffic engineering + open communication delivers early results
In the fast-growing Sunshine Coast region, planning for the new Aura Catholic School a future Prep to Year 12 co-educational environment in the Aura master planned community, teamwork is critical from the very beginning.
For more than 50 years Cardno, now Stantec, have contributed ideas, knowledge, and solutions to the growth of the Sunshine Coast community. By helping to design infrastructure solutions that support transformative educational facilities, our goal is to contribute to the future livability of the Aura community.
So, we asked our client, Michele McMahon Planning and Development Advisor of Brisbane Catholic Education about how they view the project management by our team so far. “The technical memos drafted by Cardno, now Stantec’s team have been of the highest quality,” Michele said, so are “the technical drawings and the drafting by the civil engineering team.”
Rawdon Stanford the Engineering Lead in our Maroochydore office said “attention to detail makes all the difference in client relationships. The ability to listen, engage and be adaptive to our client’s needs is what makes this project successful.”
Michele mentioned “the team did well to deliver on time” after the challenging weeks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 and then major flooding across Queensland in early 2022. An “incredible result” from Rawdon’s team meant our client received compliance approval for the new Aura Catholic School by the Queensland Government Economic Development Queensland in just three months.
“Being development ready has put our Aura School in an approval ready position,” said Michele, as well as “that we are in this together trying to find technical solutions to problems.”
We are proud to be part of the Sunshine Coast and helping the region grow for another 50 years and beyond.
