The certification carries with it a recognition that recipients are considered experts in the area of Structured Decision Making, an approach to identifying and evaluating creative options and making choices in complex decision situations.
The goal of the certification program is for decision analysis practitioners to attain competency in the application of decision theory and associated analytical tools needed to bolster the DOI’s ability to conduct robust and defensible decision making.
Dan has already used structured decision making on work with utility clients, state and federal planning projects, including our involvement in the monarch butterfly nationwide candidate conservation agreement with assurances.
“Many people face difficult problems. Structured decision making is a process that helps bring clarity to complex situations,” said Dan. “This certification demonstrates that Cardno can deliver important insight and innovative thinking when teams face tough decisions.”
