Cardno Launches Reconciliation Action Plan

Cardno today launched its first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to strengthen relationships and provide opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Cardno has a long history of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and partnering with Local Land Councils around Australia to provide support to First Nations Peoples.

Our RAP provides us with the framework to work on measurable action items and further harness our existing relationships, promote respect and build on opportunities for the Indigenous people of Australia. It provides a platform for our people to learn, embrace the culture and work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in line with Cardno’s vision and core values.

“We acknowledge we still have more to do to further educate and drive awareness across the organisation. Our Reconciliation Action Plan will help shape our future direction and see our involvement in this space grow and take more of a proactive approach,” said Jamie Alonso, Cardno Asia Pacific CEO.

At Cardno, inclusion is the fundamental pillar of our culture and our commitment to inclusion extends to the communities that we work and live in.

“Cultural awareness and social inclusion are integral to achieving significant and sustainable advancements in health, education, governance, the environment and the economy, and we are committed to achieving these goals in each of our programs,” said Marian Boreland, Cardno International Development CEO.
