Cardno expands Asia Pacific Defence team with new Major Projects Director appointment
Our Asia Pacific Defence team has been strengthened with the appointment of Stuart Yeaman AM, as Major Projects Director.
Stuart joins to Cardno following a decorated 25-year career in the Australian Army and eight years working for a major engineering consultancy.
During his time in the Australian Army, Stuart as a field officer, delivered major transport infrastructure in remote Australia and overseas while managing the Army’s constriction and geospatial information units.
In 2010, he was recognised for his outstanding leadership of development projects in southern Afghanistan and inducted as a Member of the Order of Australia.
Following his career with the Australian Army, Stuart led several major infrastructure projects within the private sector, including the LAND 400 Land Combat Vehicle Systems and LAND 121 Project Overlander (wheeled vehicle replacement).
Stuart holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineer, a Masters of Engineering Science and a Master of Defence Studies. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer and a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland.
Speaking on Stuart’s appointment, Asia Pacific Defence Director Jonathan Large, highlighted how Stuart’s experience will drive greater project outcomes for our clients.
“Stuart will provide an important boost to Cardno with his strategic and major project focus,” Jonathan said.
“He will be adding value and insight, drawing upon his extensive experience delivering major infrastructure projects globally.”
