Cardno engaged as principal consultant for detailed design of new Bundaberg aquatic centre

Bundaberg in regional Queensland, Australia is set to get a new aquatic centre, providing a year-round facility which will support fitness, education and therapy for the community.

When constructed, the new aquatic centre would replace the ageing ANZAC Pool on the riverfront of the Bundaberg CBD, creating further opportunities to develop this area into a vibrant community hub.

Cardno has been engaged as the principal consultant for the detailed design of the new aquatic centre which will feature a FINA standard 50 metre heated competition pool, warm water program pool and a recovery pool.

Utilising our multidisciplinary service offerings, Cardno will complete the preliminary investigations into contaminated land management, traffic and stormwater as well as the detailed design for the civil, structural and building services components of the design.

We are proud to continue our working relationship with Bundaberg Regional Council in delivering projects which benefit the community as we continue on our current work completing the design of the Central Park Skate Park for Councils Major Projects Team.
