Cardno again ranks among the top trenchless design firms
Infrastructure and environmental professional services firm Cardno has been rated as the 10th ranked trenchless design firm by Trenchless Technology Magazine. Since 2002, Cardno has been part of the Top Trenchless Design Firms list and has been included in the Top 10 every year.
“This ranking validates our reputation in utility engineering for providing high quality work for our clients,” said Jim Anspach, Director-Utility Market & Practice Director. “We’re proud of the work our teams do every day to provide professional judgment on where existing utilities and other structures within the earth are located so that planning, design, and construction can take place in a safe and cost-effective manner.”
Cardno’s services in survey and mapping, subsurface utility engineering and utility coordination were highlighted in the rankings. In particular, the company’s work on design improvements for I-4 reconstruction in Florida was noted. These improvements will help alleviate traffic congestion on the heavily trafficked road connecting the east and west coasts of Florida.
The rankings are based on reported North American trenchless project billings. The magazine’s annual survey asks participants to report total company billings, number of trenchless professionals working for the firm, the number of trenchless projects competed in the past five years and a summary of trenchless projects completed by method. Subsurface utility engineering, due to its non-destructive and limited excavation investigations to see into the earth, is considered a vital component of the trenchless technology field by Trenchless Technology Magazine.
