Cairns office strengthens town planning capabilities
We’ve strengthened our town planning offering in Northern Queensland with the recent addition of Senior Town planner, Daniel Favier.
Daniel has 11 years' statutory and strategic planning experience in the public and private sectors and brings a wealth of local knowledge to our Cairns office.
His intimate understanding of Queensland planning legislation and development processes will be an invaluable asset to our clients.
With a strong background in statutory DA planning across residential, commercial, infrastructure, mining and community projects, Daniel is relishing the diversity of work at Cardno.
“We’re currently working on finalising six Aboriginal community master planning projects for various Aboriginal Shires within North Queensland and across the Cape York Peninsula”.
“We‘re also undertaking two separate commercial and cultural development projects in Weipa for the Western Cape Community Trust which represent a significant investment in future generations”, said Daniel.
Daniel is excited by the opportunity that exists in North Queensland and the Cape York Peninsula.
“There are some great opportunities within the remote communities across the Cape York Peninsula and I’m keen to develop a reputation and establish ourselves as leaders in this area”, said Daniel.
Daniel will be supported by Camilla Lee, a planner with six years’ experience in planning and land development, risk assessment, and climate change.
Camilla is a published author in the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society and holds a first-class honours degree in planning.
Before joining Cardno in 2016, Camilla worked on projects across regional Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory.
Together, Daniel and Camilla will continue to drive excellence in our town planning capabilities and strengthen our footing in Northern Queensland.
