Boyd Dixon Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
Cardno is excited to announce that Dr. Boyd Dixon was recently presented with the Northern Marianas Humanities Council Lifetime Achievement Award during the 22nd Governor’s Humanities Council.
Dr. Dixon is a Senior Archaeologist, and during his career with Cardno he has conducted extensive work in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.
Dr. Dixon received his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut, and resides on Guam. He specializes in archaeological studies of the Pacific islands and Southeast Asia.
Dr. Dixon has been an integral member of the Cardno team since 2009 with 50 years of experience in archaeology, and more than a decade of research and expertise on the history and archaeology of the Northern Mariana Islands.
His research in the field has been instrumental in contributing to a more thorough understanding of the significance of archaeological resources in the Northern Mariana Islands, and beyond.
The Northern Marianas Humanities Council unanimously voted to make this selection based on a nomination from the community citing Dr. Dixon’s numerous publications and humanities projects that have directly benefited the community and people of the Northern Mariana Islands.
