Our points of difference

We’re invisible

Not only do we provide a professional service you can trust, but at Cardno we understand that minimizing disruption to your team and your office is important. That’s why our technicians make a point to be as invisible as possible.

We put you in control

Not all devices need to be tested all the time. Some electrical devices need to be tested every few months, such as electric drills. Other devices, such as desktop computers, may only need to be tested once every few years. To help you prioritise which devices get tested, we will walk you through the approved testing and inspection framework (see below). So, that you can make informed choices about what devices to get tested.

Our approach

Our approach meets NZ’s AS/NZS 3760 standards. The first step, involves our certified technician conducting a visual inspection of each device, testing flex, and the physical integrity and general condition of the device. Then, our technician will assess the earthing and polarity of the device to ensure it is electrically safe to use. Finally, our technician will tag the device with test results and date.

We specialise in test and tag services for general office electrical appliances such as:

  •  desktop computers
  •  laptops
  •  chargers
  •  power supply
  •  fans
  •  stationary kitchen appliances: microwave, dishwasher
  •  all portable kitchen appliances: toaster, kettle, grill, mini ovens, sandwich press
  •  bathroom appliances: hair dryer, curling iron
  •  laundry: washing machines, clothes dryers
