Our office provides the following services to clients:
- Natural Features Inventory
We have extensive experience performing Natural Features Inventories (NFI)s of habitats, listed species, and wildlife surveys as required by the City of Tallahassee.
- Environmental Impact Analysis
Our staff conducts initial and complex Environmental Impact Analysis (EIA)s to address the specific environmental impacts of any proposed development including listed species relocation, design and implementation of habitat recovery measures as well as state and federal permitting required to guide projects to completion.
Staff provides in-depth knowledge consulting with regulatory agencies and can provide a big picture approach to permitting applications and water quality/biological monitoring requirements at the federal, state, and county/city levels.
- Wetland delineations
Our Tallahassee experts understand the many challenges involved with state and federally regulated waters and wetlands and can assist with wetland and surface water body delineations.
- Listed species surveys
Cardno’s team of highly experienced biologists, terrestrial and aquatic ecologists, and environmental scientists specialize in addressing complex issues around listed species, including gopher tortoises.
Featured Tallahassee Projects
Cardno conducted the ecological components of a NFI and EIA. These efforts included development and implementation of a restoration plan for an 80-acre Habitat Management Area including herbicide treatment of non-native nuisance and exotic plant species, listed species surveys, mowing, and prescribed burns.
We have extensive experience conducting Natural Features Inventories (NFI)s in accordance with City of Tallahassee and Leon County guidelines including wetland delineations, land use/vegetation community mapping, regulated upland habitat assessments, and listed wildlife & botanical species surveys.
