One way Cardno recognises the contribution of our staff is through three scholarships – the Richard Kell Scholarship, Harold Davies Professional Scholarship and Gerry Cardno Services Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded every year and provide the recipients with professional development opportunities.

Richard Kell Scholarship

The Richard Kell Scholarship is awarded to an exceptional young engineer. The successful applicant is invited to participate in the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) Young Professional Management Training Program and subsequently in the annual international FIDIC Conference.

The Scholarship is named after Richard Kell to recognise his significant contribution to Cardno and the engineering profession over the last 45 years.

Harold Davies Professional Scholarship

The Harold Davies Professional Scholarship aims to recognise and reward a standout performer in a non-engineering role. It also aims to further enhance the Scholarship winner's strengths by providing support for their personal and professional development.

This scholarship is named in honour of Cardno's co-founder, Harold Davies, who had a vision of building a company committed to innovation and excellence.

Gerry Cardno Services Scholarship

Named in honour of Cardno’s co-founder, the Gerry Cardno Services Scholarship aims to recognise and reward a standout performer in a services role. The scholarship aims to further enhance the scholarship winner and finalists’ strengths by providing support for work-related development.
