Coast wins 2005 Engineering Excellence Awards

Premier of Queensland Peter Beattie, Aiden Cunningham - Cardno
and Bruce Wilson - Director General of Queensland Transport.
Congratulations to the Gold Coast for winning the 2005 Engineering
Excellence Awards for Project Management at the recent Engineers
Australia (Qld) ceremony last week.
Cardno included their client
Austcorp as partners in the submission for the awards based
on Coomera Waters Village and Resort, on the
Gold Coast.
The Cardno Coomera Waters Project Management Team worked closely
with Austcorps Development managers and ensured the myriad of
Consultants and Sub Consultants worked to the brief and maintained
time frame and budgets.
The judges recognised Cardno project management skills on
this complex eco residential development which is a true example
of
engineering excellence incorporating leading edge water sensitive
urban design thus creating a blueprint for sustainable integrated
residential communities.
