Cardno is seeking a Senior Cultural Resources Manager in any of our nationwide offices

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

> Contribute in a team setting toward business development efforts within subject matter expertise
> Conduct studies and compliance approaches toward acquisition of permits and clearances (for federal, state, and local laws and regulations) or resource management plans. Lead and coordinate technical work in archaeology or architectural history, business development, client management, and task order management
> Assist federal clients, especially Department of Defense clients, in Section 106 and Native American tribal consultation
> Write and produce reports or documents, review the work of others
> Coordinate projects related to environmental compliance and resource management, including client contact, budget control, invoicing, schedule, personnel allocation/planning, public interest facilitation, technical approach development, and subcontractor involvement
> Work with other cultural resources staff who provide technical support in field and office settings
> Develop resource management recommendations, assess project effects on resources, address, complex resource problems and issues that require advanced technical or regulatory knowledge
> Collaborate in an integrated team with engineers, scientists, planners, regulators, and other stakeholders

Other Requirements

Minimum Qualifications Required:

> Minimum of Master's degree in Archaeology, Architectural History or related field
> Minimum of 15 years of experience in cultural resources investigations, including at least 10 years as a Principal Investigator and meet the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for qualifications for principal archaeologist or architectural historian
> Extensive knowledge of cultural resources and associated regulatory environment, especially for federal agencies. Experience working on Department of Defense installations required
> Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
> Strong relationships with private, public sector clients, and regulatory agencies
> Ability to translate between science, planning, engineering, and policy
> Working knowledge of NEPA, NHPA, and other state and federal environmental regulations, especially for the Department of Defense and Land Management Agencies. Must have experience working on impact analyses for EISs, Section 106 consultation experience, and experience with tribal consultation
> Ability to plan, scope, and implement cultural resources studies with limited input
> Demonstrable experience in business development is critical

Additional Considerations:

> May be required to work in project locations remote from their home office, and such remote deployments may recur with as little as three (3) calendar days intervening between deployments
