Danielle Alford, Regional Manager for Asia, joins Cardno International Development


Cardno International Development is excited to announce the appointment of Danielle Alford as the Regional Manager for Asia.

Danielle Alford brings to Cardno over 17 years’ experience leading major projects and programs across Australia, Asia and the Pacific. Her experience spans across the not-for-profit, public and private sectors, with significant time spent in Asia (Cambodia, Mongolia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Bangladesh), and the Pacific (PNG, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu). Danielle commenced her career managing health programs for INGOs (Marie Stopes International, Burnet Institute, VSO), designing and delivering reproductive health, primary health care and HIV prevention programs.

Danielle joined Save the Children in 2009, leading a range of transformation projects across domestic and international programs and in 2014 was appointed Head of Pacific Programs. In this role, she oversaw a period of growth and change, leading all aspects of strategy, programs and operations in PNG, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. She also sat on the Program Control Board, overseeing internal strategic projects. In 2016-17, Danielle took the transferable skills gained in international development and executed two major change initiatives in the public and private health sectors in Victoria.

In taking up the role of Regional Manager – Asia, Danielle returns to international development with fresh insights, and looks forward to working with a talented team to achieve outcomes and continuous improvement in the region.
