Ms Tonianne Dwyer has been appointed a Non-Executive Director of the ASX200 infrastructure services company Cardno Limited (ASX: CDD) with effect from 25 June, 2012.
Cardno Chairman, Mr John Massey, in announcing the appointment said that Ms Dwyer’s international experience and strong commercial skills will complement the Board’s existing expertise as Cardno continues its successful growth strategy both in Australia and internationally.
“We welcome Tonianne’s decision to add her skills to our Board as we continue to convert the many good opportunities for Cardno’s expansion through organic growth and acquisitions,” said Mr Massey.
Ms Dwyer, commenting about her appointment said, “I am very pleased to have this opportunity to join Cardno at such an exciting time in the Company’s development and look forward to working with Cardno’s Board and management to deliver strong shareholder returns over the coming years.”
Mr Massey noted that this appointment continues the evolution of the Cardno Board through the planned addition of another Non-Executive Director.
About Tonianne Dwyer
Ms Dwyer is an Independent Non-Executive Director of DEXUS Property Group, an ASX listed company with a market capitalisation around $4.5 billion, and DEXUS Wholesale Property Fund which is an unlisted property fund. She is a former Director of Quintain Estates and Development PLC, an LSE listed UK property company.
Her executive career included roles as Executive Director and Head of Funds Management at Quintain Estates and Development (2003-10), Director, Investment Banking with Societe Generale/SG Cowen/Hambros Bank in London (1987-2003), including a period being seconded to the Finance Division of UK Department of Health (1989-90) after working as a Barrister and Solicitor in Perth.
Ms Dwyer is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has a Bachelor of Jurisprudence and a Bachelor of Laws, both with Honours, from the University of Western Australia, is admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia.
