Mr John Marlay has today become Chairman of ASX200 professional infrastructure and environmental services company, Cardno Limited (ASX:CDD).
Mr Marlay joined the Cardno Board as a Director in November 2011. He is Chairman of Tomago Aluminium and a Non-Executive Director of Incitec Pivot, Boral and Alesco Corporation and was formerly Managing Director of Alumina Limited.
Mr Marlay replaces Mr John Massey who announced his decision to step down as Chairman on 27June 2012 after more than eight years in the role. Mr Massey will remain a Non-Executive Director of Cardno until the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting being held on 18 October 2012.
Cardno yesterday announced a record net profit after tax of $74.2million for the year ended 30 June 2012, its eighth successive year of record profit and earnings per share since it listed on the ASX in 2004.
A final dividend of 18 cents per share (70% franked) has been declared which, with the interim dividend of 18 cents per share (70% franked) in April 2012, results in a full year dividend of 36 cents per share, also a record.
Cardno continues to perform strongly across its markets and geographical locations and remains well positioned for further expansion through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
