As a highly skilled Project Manager, Joshua plays a senior role in the management of the water supply and sewerage planning team on large planning projects, spanning throughout Queensland.
Just some of the projects he has helped to deliver include major greenfield developments in South East Queensland, undertaking a review of water supply networks in Far North Queensland and condition assessments of major state assets.
“I’m helping to facilitate water and sewer services to new developments while improving existing networks - two services that are critical to modern civilisation, which makes it feel like everything we deliver makes a real difference,” says Joshua.
“My job identifies, when, where and how much, and helps both private and public sectors deliver the best solution for the project. It’s a very satisfying and interesting field to work in."
A father of two, Joshua combines a busy family life with his work.
“What we do at work is challenging - but Cardno is a family-friendly place and I’m able to combine fatherhood with my job quite smoothly,” he says.
Day-to-day, he spends his time leading and mentoring teams, developing network plans to improve the delivery of infrastructure projects and building strong relationships with a wide range of clients including major developers, state and local government agencies and alliances.
“The team environment makes it a great place to work. Everyone is willing to collaborate and help each other out. It's a strong culture of mentoring and support,” he says.
“Also, one of Cardno’s biggest benefits is the multi-disciplinary services we offer. There isn’t an issue too big or small that can’t be solved. This is coupled with our willingness to assist – we truly are a one-stop shop.”
