Cardno welcomes its new merger partner, Marshall Miller & Associates, Inc. (MM&A), merging to form Cardno MM&A in July 2012.
Headquartered in Bluefield, Virginia, USA, Marshall Miller & Associates, Inc. (MM&A) is a diverse consulting and engineering firm that has evolved into a leader in the mineral resource, environmental and carbon management industries.
The company's growth is based on a commitment to applying and developing advanced engineering and scientific technologies and maintaining their talented staff of geologists; hydrologists; earth scientists; and mining, petroleum, environmental, and civil engineers.
MM&A employs 178 staff in ten US offices and is led by Scott Keim, President.
“With the addition of MM&A, Cardno can now offer clients specialist services in greenhouse gas inventorying, carbon sequestration and carbon off-set credit verification. Examples of innovative projects include the USDOE-sponsored carbon capture and sequestration project in Russell County, Virginia. These services are becoming increasingly critical to our clients in Australia and across various sectors globally,” Cardno Managing Director and CEO, Andrew Buckley said.
Scott Keim, President of MM&A, said that they are enthusiastic about joining Cardno because it enables MM&A to strengthen services to new and existing clients, gain leverage from Cardno’s existing disciplines, and work in new areas drawing on Cardno’s broad geographic presence, particularly in Australia.
MM&A represents a unique assembly of engineering and science-related professionals whose goals are to primarily serve the fossil fuels, transportation, and land and mineral development industries, and to successfully and professionally integrate with government agencies to achieve environmental responsibility and preservation of natural resources.
