Cardno welcomes its new merger partner, EM-Assist, Inc., merging to form Cardno EM-Assist.
Founded in 1996, EM-Assist’s competitive strength is in Integrated Environmental Program Management, particularly where Environmental Sustainability Consulting intersects with Information Management and Technology.
This is demonstrated in their IT-based environmental compliance solutions that include their own commercial off-the-shelf Environmental Data Integration System (EDIS), the EM-Assist Learning Management System (LMS), and web-based training that has opened the door to many new clients.
Their headquarters is in Folsom, California, USA, with additional offices in Salt Lake City Utah, Denver Colorado, and Williamsburg Virginia.
EM-Assist’s environmental management services seek to integrate traditionally disparate programs (air, water, waste, etc.) by:
- establishing business processes that consolidate data collection, organisation and analysis
- implementing management systems (such as ISO 1400 Environmental Management System ("EMS") and ISO 50001 Energy Management System ("EnMS")), and
- developing custom IT solutions.
EM-Assist has an excellent past performance in air quality, hazardous materials and waste, EMS, and pollution prevention. In addition, they have developed over 500 web-based training courses on a variety of topics, and market a portfolio of software products which augment their core service offerings. Such products are used by organisations to improve the productivity of their human capital, and to manage environmental information associated with compliance with federal, state and local environmental laws and regulations.
EM-Assist’s strong client base includes the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army National Guard, U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
