Economic Revitalisation and Enterprise Development

In the world’s poorest countries increased trade and improved business processes can generate giant steps towards alleviating poverty. Building a strong private sector that is supported by sound policy and an institutional framework provides countries with a foundation for sustainable economic growth.

Through its international development assistance subsidiaries, Cardno Acil, Cardno Agrisystems and Emerging Markets Group (EMG), Cardno assists governments to build national capacity in cost effective and sustainable business development services such as organisational management and capacity building, access to microfinance, promotion and public awareness, information and new technologies and domestic and export markets.

The tourism sector offers numerous links to the achievement of poverty reduction goals, increased non-agricultural employment and improved livelihoods. EMG and Cardno Agrisystems have designed and implemented tourism development projects in developing countries for more than 20 years.
