Socially and economically, transport systems and
traffic management plans - whether at a national,
state or local level - have a direct effect on
communities' wellbeing.
Cardno Eppell Olsen has significant experience in the planning of
safe, efficient and sustainable transport networks at regional,
corridor and local area levels. Many transport planning projects
involve the use of transport models and the development of
strategies subsequent to the model outputs. Consideration of land
use, traffic growth, opportunities for public transport and travel
demand management and the planning process itself, are paramount
to successful transport system planning.
Movement in urban areas is the link between activities - home, work,
shopping, entertainment. The interaction of different land uses
creates travel demand. Our models seek to explain this interaction
and quantify travel demands. Our modelling skills are applied to
numerous scenarios.
