The skills provided by traffic engineers to assist in improvements in safety should cover both good design practice and the ability to determine causes of system failure, in this context, crashes.
Our traffic engineering team has developed substantial expertise in specialist areas of road safety based on our knowledge and understanding of the relevant codes of practice. Whilst road safety considerations are part of everyday assessments of traffic schemes, some specific areas of experience include road safety audits, road safety research/policy and speed limit reviews. Our current team includes many accredited Road Safety Auditors and a number of staff trained in Speed Limit Reviews.
