What were the key ideas or initiatives of your winning submission?
My essay addressed the topic of how Cardno can improve its performance during a period of slower economic activity. Some of my key ideas were:

Improve Cardno’s management of its clients both existing and new
Diversify the type of clients within each Business Unit
Increase communication within teams and across Cardno.

What did winning the Scholarship mean for you?
Winning the scholarship recognises the effort and commitment I have given over the past three years.

What did you receive?
I have received up to AU$5,000 to go towards my professional development program which consists of training courses, seminars and conferences in the areas of road design, stormwater drainage and project management.

How have you benefited professionally from receiving this accolade?
It has provided me with an opportunity to establish new contacts within the company.
